August 17, 2014

Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer, taking place this year on Saturday, September 27 at Toronto’s Ontario Place, is a big, bold fundraising event helping the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre lead the way in Personalized Cancer Medicine. Contributing to the event are more than 70 celebrities, including hockey heroes Johnny Bower, Paul Coffey, Marcel Dionne, Paul Henderson and Darryl Sittler, Olympians Hilary Knight, Gillian Apps and Jayna Hefford, former Toronto Blue Jays Jesse Barfield and Gregg Zaun and members of Billy Talent, Great Big Sea, Honeymoon Suite and Platinum Blonde. Media personalities Nick Kypreos, Glen Healy, Jeff Marek, Michelle Dube and Hazel Mae will also be participating.

This will be the fourth annual Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer event, and through its previous three years, more than $7 million has been raised for conquering cancer at The Princess Margaret, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world. More than 150 teams and 1,500 players will play 5 games through the course of the day, with great food, beverages, live music, massage therapy and interactive games helping engage participants between games.
